So, let’s talk about truth. First, I want you to know that your church, our church, this church, has worked very hard to stay engaged with you and our community during this crisis. We sincerely love and care about each of you and how this is affecting your lives. My hope is that you have felt the love and devotion of Trace Church over the last couple of months because that has been our desire.
Second, making decisions in a pandemic has been difficult, to say the least. Thank you for your support, flexibility, and grace during this time. I don’t mind telling you that I have never led through a more difficult time in my life. However, our staff at Trace has been incredible and I couldn’t do what I do without them. Seriously, they are rockstars!
Third, the biggest challenge and decision in front of us has been when to open our doors again for Sunday morning services. We have not taken this decision lightly because your safety has always been a top priority for us at Trace. Personally, I have sought out advice from professionals in the medical community, government, law enforcement, mentors, and other pastors.
“Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.” Proverbs 15:22
So after many conversations, a lot of prayer, and conviction from the Holy Spirit we feel that June 7th is the right time for us to open the doors once again for Trace Church!
