Governor Polis gave the mandate that everyone over the age of 10 needs to wear a mask when they are inside public places. This of course includes Churches. I understand there are various opinions on this subject, but we are asking that you would honor this mask mandate when you come to Trace on Sundays.
Some of you might want to use this mask mandate as an excuse not to come to church. I understand the frustration, really I do. But if wearing a mask is all it takes to keep us from gathering together as a church, then what does that say about our commitment to the Body of Christ.
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25 ESV
Now, we understand that some of you who are 65+ and have compromised immune systems are staying home for different reasons, and we would encourage you to continue to tune in online. Our team continues to work diligently to give you the best online experience possible.
There are challenging times ahead of us, and we need a resolve like never before to continue to find opportunities to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. As a follower of Jesus you are a minister of this gospel, never forget that. Our hope as a Church leadership is to build your confidence in this calling. There is a lot I plan to share on this in September.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matt. 28:19-20 (ESV)
