Love your Enemy

Scripture: Matthew 5:43–48

What if the people you struggle with the most are the very people Jesus is calling you to love? In this message from the Sermon on the Mount series, Pastor Aaron teaches on one of the most challenging commands of Jesus: love your enemies. In Matthew 5, Jesus calls His followers to live differently from the world. Instead of responding with anger, retaliation, or offense, we are called to respond with radical love. This kind of love reflects the heart of the Father and becomes a powerful witness to a broken world. Pastor Aaron reminds us that we are not called to win arguments. We are called to win people to the grace of Jesus. When we choose love over hate, forgiveness over offense, and grace over retaliation, the world gets a glimpse of God. This message challenges us to rethink how we respond to those who oppose us, hurt us, or misunderstand us. The way of Jesus is not passive or weak. It is courageous, sacrificial, and rooted in the transforming grace of God. Your enemy might feel like the hardest person to love. But according to Jesus, your enemy might actually be your mission field.
